It’s a year of jubilee for a real estate firm that opened in 1975.

As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we’re reflecting on how far we’ve come since our founding. What was born out of necessity has developed into a not-so-small family business. Despite our growth, Foshee Residential continues to believe in the power of community.

1970s - 1980s: Establishing Foundations

Foshee began as a family-run venture focused on developing and building residential communities. Early economic challenges were met with determination and a commitment to growth, laying a lasting foundation.

In the early nineties, our family built and retained several core assets, beginning with Halcyon Park Apartments in Montgomery, Alabama.

2001-2002: Passing of the Torch

Golson Foshee joined in 2001, managing properties and modernizing systems. Following his father's health decline, he took on greater responsibility, navigating the business through transformative change with a team-oriented approach.

2000s: A Turning Point

The early 2000s saw the acquisition and development of new properties. In 2008, the firm began offering its management services to other owners, significantly growing its portfolio and expertise. With property acquisitions and fee-management ventures, we saw steady growth, managing dozens of communities.

2010s: Community Revitalization

The firm spearheaded revitalization projects in Montgomery, managing loft conversions and urban developments. These initiatives aimed to attract young professionals and create vibrant downtown living spaces, fostering a "culture of cool" and community pride.

Currently managing over 10,000 units throughout the southeastern United States, we’re leaning into our commitment to building community, providing exceptional service and positively impacting the lives of our residents.
