For this recipe, we made a pumpkin spice simmer pot inspired by The Rooted Farmhouse. The great thing about simmer pots is you get to decide how much of each ingredient goes in, so this recipe is designed for you to personalize!

Ingredients:
- apples
- oranges
- vanilla extract
- pumpkin pie spice
- allspice
- cinnamon (ground and/or whole sticks)
- rosemary
Instructions:
- Chop your apples and oranges. We used three small apples and one large orange!
- Add chopped fruits and desired amount of vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice, allspice, whole cloves, cinnamon, rosemary, and water to a pot.
- Turn heat to medium-high, and wait for water to come to a simmer.
- Continue to add water if you want it to last longer!
- Let the fall aroma enter your home!

Brew Apple Cider
Apple cider is a yummy way to bring the smell of fall into your kitchen and home. Whether you make it from scratch or use a store-bought cider, it tastes and smells amazing! For this recipe, inspired by The Pioneer Woman’s Mulled Apple Cider, we used a store-bought option along with an assortment of mulling spices.

Ingredients:
- 6 cups apple cider (or apple juice)
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 4 star anise
- 1/2 tsp whole cloves
- 1 tsp ground allspice
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 lemon peel
- 1 orange peel
Instructions:
- Peel the orange and lemon.
- Add all ingredients to a medium-large pot or saucepan, and turn heat to medium-high to high.
- After it begins to simmer turn the heat down to medium and let simmer for 30 minutes.
- Enjoy the taste and smell of this delicious cider!

Bake a Fall Treat
There’s nothing like the smell of a freshly baked dessert, especially one that reminds you of fall. Naturally, you probably know exactly what the main ingredient is going to be: pumpkin. It’s one of the most versatile ingredients, plus it’s a fall specialty. For this recipe, we used it to make these delicious pumpkin chocolate chip bars by Mom Endeavors.

Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup butter softened
- 1 cup pumpkin purée
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Pre-heat oven to 325.
- Add flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, and salt to a bowl, and stir until well-combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla to mixture, and mix well. Add pumpkin and mix.
- Mix the dry and wet mixtures together, and fold in chocolate chips.
- Grease a 9×13 pan, and spread batter evenly.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until cooked thoroughly.
- Enjoy the yummy fall taste and smell!

DIY Pumpkin Spice Room Spray
One of the best ways to add fragrance to your home is a great-smelling room spray. This recipe by Happy Money Saver creates the perfect fall smell, and all you need are some essential oils and water!
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 drops ginger essential oils
- 3 drops cinnamon essential oils
- 3 drops cardamom essential oils
- 5 drops orange essential oils
- 5 drops clove essential oils
Instructions:
- In a 4 oz. spray bottle, add all ingredients.
- Shake well and you’re ready to spray the smell of fall throughout your home!
