In honor of its 50th anniversary, Foshee Residential turned a celebration into a chance to give back by hosting the Foshee Food Drive. From June 1 to July 31, 2025, the company hosted a food drive across all of its apartment communities throughout the Southeast. In just eight weeks, between Foshee Residential’s communities and its corporate office, the company donated more than 10,000 pounds of food, equating to approximately 8,333 meals.

Starting Monday, June 2, 2025, all Foshee-managed communities had a designated donation bin in their leasing office or clubhouse. The drive was open to residents, employees, members of the community, and anyone else who wanted to participate. The Foshee Food Drive ran for eight weeks and concluded on July 31, 2025.
Why the Foshee Food Drive?
For five decades, Foshee Residential has built its reputation on more than apartment living—it has been about strengthening communities. The food drive was not only a way to celebrate this anniversary but also a reflection of the company’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the neighborhoods it serves.
Food insecurity continues to be a pressing issue both locally and nationally. In Alabama alone, approximately 14% of households experience food insecurity. Nationwide, more than 47 million people face hunger, including 14 million children, according to Feeding America. Summer can be an especially challenging season for families, as children lose access to school meal programs.

Every Foshee Residential-managed community partnered with a local food bank for the duration of the Foshee Food Drive.
